Hockey Wales are excited to announce Ella Jackson has joined the team as Pathway and Compliance Manager.

Ella will be responsible for maintaining the compliance and governance needs across the Hockey Wales performance and pathway landscape. She will also lead on our Player Pathway as we continue to transform the experience of our young talented players on their journey to represent Wales.

No stranger to the sport or the Pathway, Ella herself progressed through the Pathway and is now a member of the Hockey Wales senior women's squad with 35 caps for Wales.

With a Masters in Sport Business and Leadership, she also brings experience of being Assistant Head of Hockey at Stowe School and more recently a Sport Development Officer at Cardiff Metropolitan University to the role.

Director of Performance at Hockey Wales Kevin Johnson said "Ella is going to bring a sharp and clear focus to the role having been a player in the Pathway, as well as recently coaching at pathway level and being a goalkeeper coach for the U21 women’s team at the Junior World Cup. On top of this, her academic background and experience aligns well to the strategic needs of our Pathway. Having previously worked in a school environment, she clearly understands the needs and challenges of the age groups that she will be responsible for supporting."

Ella said "I am excited to be joining Hockey Wales at this time and look forward to working immediately with the Pathway, helping to give back and shape the experiences of our athletes. It is an especially exciting time with a home U18 Europeans in 2023 providing the chance to showcase our junior athletes on home soil."
