What is Equity?
Equity is about understanding and providing for people's needs to create meaningful opportunities and access to physical activity, including sport, physical education and leisure.

As an organisation, we aim to provide a meaningful hockey experience for all that engage with us, ensuring their individual needs are met. We will strive towards achieving this commitment as part of our Equality Standard journey.
Our diversity champions programme
With the support from our Senior Players and the wider Hockey Family, the decision has been made to really understand what is needed, seek support and drive change within our sport and, in January 2021, the newly appointed Diversity Champions met for the first time.
Hockey Wales Inclusivity
To ensure there is a good understanding and that each member of the hockey family has a voice, the group is made up of a combination of staff and players with a varied background in the sport.

What to know more?
In the first few months of development, the group will be focussing on female coach development opportunities and accessibility, mental Health awareness for our Hockey Family and use of Welsh Language across our Hockey Family.
